The ceremony took place within the framework of the programme to commend outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and institutes in Hanoi City in 2023, implemented by the Hanoi Youth Union in coordination with relevant units to recognise students’ constant efforts during their learning process.
This year, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation Day (October 10,1954-2023), 96 outstanding valedictorians from universities and institutes based in the capital were honoured.

Along with the ceremony on the evening of October 10, the outstanding valedictorians of 2023 will participate in many other meaningful activities, such as: a ceremony to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and visit Uncle Ho's mausoleum; meeting and interacting with students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted; and visiting and meeting pioneering businesses in innovation, creativity, and digital transformation.
