Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, Pham Quang Nghi made this statement during an August 24 ceremony held in Hanoi to honour 132 outstanding valedictorians from universities and institutes based in the capital.

In addition, Nghi suggested agencies and people of the city create favourable conditions for the young talents to study, practise and contribute to industrialisation and modernisation of the capital and the country.

At the ceremony, the valedictorians, who are new graduates from universities and institutes with impressive academic results and role models in the youth union’s movements and activities, received certificates of merit and presents from the Municipal Party Committee, the People’s Committee and the People’s Council of Hanoi.

Among the 132 honoured valedictorians are 37 males and 95 females; 56 of them are Vietnam Communist Party members.

Earlier, the valedictorians reported their achievements at a ceremony held in front of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and met with Vice State President, Nguyen Thi Doan.
