At the ceremony, they were presented with certificates of merit and awards by the Hanoi City People’s Committee.

The valedictorians had impressive academic records in various disciplines, including engineering, culture and society, economics, pedagogy, medicine and pharmaceutics and military affairs.

The event is the fourteenth of its kind hosted by the Hanoi authorities; over 1,500 students have been honoured so far.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy emphasised that the valedictorians should continue to make efforts in training and research in order to achieve more successes and contribute to the capital’s development.

Earlier the same day, the valedictorians offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh at the commemorative K9–Da Chong historical site in Minh Quang commune, Ba Vi district, Hanoi, and planted 100 trees at Va temple in Son Tay town, Hanoi.
