According to Plan No. 209/KH-UBND on the organisation of Hanoi Culinary Space 2023 issued by the Hanoi People's Committee, the event will take place from September 29 to October 1 at the Hanoi Youth Recreation and Education Centre at No. 36-38 Ly Thai To, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
Taking place at the same time as the Hanoi Autumn Festival, Hanoi Culinary Space 2023 is themed "The quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine" and is expected to promote culinary values as a unique tourism product of the capital to the domestic and foreign tourists on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2023).
The event is also an opportunity for units, artisans and culinary villages of Hanoi and Vietnam to promote and introduce traditional and modern culinary products and craft villages.
According to the plan, the space is divided into spaces for displaying and performing Hanoi traditional cuisine; enjoying the art forms of craft villages - rural markets and folk games; and international cuisine and contemporary dishes; and especially a space to promote Michelin-winning culinary establishments and the capital's culinary tourism destinations.
In particular, the highlight of the programme is that stories about the history and geography of Vietnamese spices will be told through the "Vietnamese Spices Map" (Map of places featuring the typical flavours of each region). The flavours on the map are taken from 100% natural spice seeds.
In addition, some activities such as seminars and a talk show with chefs and culinary artisans will be held.
The event of Hanoi Culinary Space 2023 is expected to help spread the beauty and uniqueness of Hanoi cuisine to domestic and foreign tourists.
