The selected films convey messages of faith and the longing for peace. |
The opening ceremony will take place at the headquarters of the People's Army Cinema, at 7:00 PM on April 22, 2025. The event is expected to attract a large audience, including delegates from central agencies, the armed forces, members of the film industry, and viewers from the capital.
Following the opening ceremony will be the first screenings, featuring two outstanding films: the documentary "Noi vong tay lon" (written by Professor Dr Tran Thanh Hiep and directed by Pham Hong Thang), which conveys the message of national solidarity — the core value that led the country to victory; and "Vu khuc mua xuan" (written by Nguyen Thu Dung and directed by Dang Thu Trang), a feature film that gently yet profoundly portrays the revitalised spirit and the beauty of the country after the war.
Throughout the week, audiences will have the chance to enjoy eight remarkable cinematic works, including four documentaries and four feature films produced by the People's Army Cinema in collaboration with domestic film studios.
The film week serves as a tribute to the Vietnamese people, celebrating national culture and the enduring values painstakingly nurtured by previous generations. Through each film, the organisers hope to send a message to today’s generation: the happiness we enjoy today is the result of the countless sacrifices and losses of yesterday.
The People's Army Cinema’s Film Week will be held at its multipurpose hall located at 17 Ly Nam De Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
