During the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival, many meaningful activities, including the presentation of gifts, scholarships and lanterns and the organisation of Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, have been carried out in villages and hamlets in remote and isolated areas.
These activities not only bring joy to children and encourage them to overcome difficulties and make progress in their studies, but also demonstrate the care of the entire society for the future generation, contributing to ensuring that all children in border areas can enjoy a warm and fulfilling Mid-Autumn Festival.
As part of activities to care for children in the border areas of Dong Nai City, on September 22, Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Municipal Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to children on the occasion of the new school year and the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival in eight border communes and four communes inhabited by ethnic minority communities and mountainous areas.
On behalf of the Dong Nai City leaders, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Municipal Party Committee Vo Tan Duc; Head of the Municipal Party Committee's Commission for Communications and Mass Mobilisation Duong Minh Dung; and other Dong Nai City leaders presented gifts to children in eight border communes, with 1,000 gift packages for each commune, and four communes inhabited by ethnic minority communities and mountainous areas, with 500 packages for each commune. Each gift package included cakes, sweets, cash and a lantern.
Duong Minh Dung, Member of the Standing Board of the Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Dong Nai Municipal Party Committee's Commission for Communications and Mass Mobilisation, said that through the programme, the city leaders wished to convey a message to children that regardless of where they live or what circumstances they are in, every child has the right to study, play, develop and enjoy the joys of childhood, as well as receive care, love and support from Party committees, authorities and society as a whole.
In the border commune of Thien Hung, associations and mass organisations have also developed plans to organise a range of practical activities to care for children in the area, particularly disadvantaged children and children from ethnic minority communities.
Through the presentation of gifts and scholarships and the organisation of recreational and cultural activities, the locality has brought children a meaningful festival filled with joy. These practical activities demonstrate the care of Party committees, authorities and society as a whole for the younger generation, contributing to creating favourable conditions for children to develop comprehensively.
