The festival features cultural and artistic activities, entertainment, sports, and creative experiences, offering children a community space rich in cultural identity and meaningful experiences.
Focusing on the traditional beauty of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the festive space features decorative displays, moon-viewing feast arrangements, and folk toys such as star-shaped lanterns, revolving lanterns, lion dance heads, “to he” (traditional dough figurines), and paper masks. These familiar images of the Mid-Autumn Festival help create a warm atmosphere rich in national cultural identity, helping children better understand cultural values that have been preserved and passed down through generations.
As part of the festival, the organisers are going to set up a display showcasing Thanh Hoa province's traditional Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere, various handicraft products, alongside an exhibition of children's artwork featuring two themes: "Under the Blue Moonlight" and "Green Dreams."
A highlight of this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is a range of recreational, experiential, and creative activities. Children will have the opportunity to make traditional Mid-Autumn toys and experience traditional crafts such as pottery, bamboo and rattan weaving, hand embroidery, “to he” making, and artistic coconut-leaf folding. They can also make mooncakes and create handicraft and art products suitable for their age. In addition, children can take part in folk games, physical activities, educational games, chess, and Rubik’s cube, helping develop dexterity, thinking skills, perseverance, and a spirit of interaction and solidarity.
Besides the exhibitions and experiential activities, artistic performances, exchanges with artists, street parades, lion and dragon dances, and lantern processions to welcome the moon will create a lively Mid-Autumn atmosphere, providing opportunities for children, families, and the community to come together, helping foster love, sharing and beautiful memories of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

On September 23:
At 7 p.m.: an artistic performance programme “Moon, Oh Moon”
On September 24:
At 8:30 a.m.: an exchange programme with artists on the theme “Mid-Autumn Festival for children”
From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.: An artistic performance “Welcoming the Full Moon” and a ceremony honouring students with outstanding academic achievements
From 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.: the “Full Moon Festival” will feature parades, lantern processions, and an artistic programme.
Activities guiding children in making traditional Mid-Autumn toys, mooncakes, bamboo and rattan products, “to he”, pottery, and postcards will take place during the following time slots: 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
