A special arts programme celebrating Viet Nam Culture Day 2026, organised by municipal authorities, is scheduled to take place at 8pm on November 24 at My Dinh National Stadium.

The event is expected to attract around 50,000 spectators, combining traditional and contemporary performances with vibrant fireworks displays.

Under Plan No. 410/KH-UBND, recently issued by the Ha Noi People's Committee, the city will distribute 38,000 free tickets to enable residents to attend the show.

Of these, 10,500 tickets will be allocated to residents of 19 wards across the capital, while another 7,000 will be distributed through online platforms.

The remaining tickets will be reserved for agencies, organisations, and personnel participating in the programme.

The free ticket distribution aims to enable more residents to enjoy the programme in person and immerse themselves in the festive cultural atmosphere of the capital. The public can follow official announcements from the Organising Committee for updates on allocation methods and schedules.

The concert will run for up to 120 minutes. A highlight of the event will be the blend of traditional and contemporary arts, incorporating modern stage technology to create a performance space rich in cultural identity.

In particular, fireworks displays will be interspersed throughout the performances and featured at the finale, promising memorable artistic experiences for the audience.

The programme is being staged to realise the objectives of Politburo Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, dated January 7, 2026, on the development of Vietnamese culture; Prime Ministerial Decision No. 1111/QD-TTg, dated June 19, 2026, issuing the plan for organising Viet Nam Culture Day during the 2026–2030 period; and Prime Ministerial Directive No. 35/CT-TTg, dated September 30, 2026, on holding Viet Nam Culture Day in conjunction with the Great National Unity Festival.

Through its performances, the programme aims to portray the evolution of Vietnamese culture from its origins through the present and into the future, connecting traditional heritage values with contemporary creativity. It will thereby honour cultural identity, patriotic traditions, the spirit of great national unity, and the admirable qualities of the Vietnamese people.

The event will also help affirm the role of culture as a spiritual foundation, an endogenous resource, and an important driving force for national development. It will promote the image of Ha Noi as a dynamic, creative capital with a thousand-year heritage, where Vietnamese cultural values converge and radiate.

The programme will be broadcast live on Viet Nam Television (VTV). Ha Noi's Press, Radio, and Television Agency will relay the feed on its channels and platforms, while also installing LED screens for residents in areas far from the city centre.

Municipal authorities are currently accelerating preparations for the event. Under the schedule, Ha Noi will conduct a full rehearsal on November 22.

The Viet Nam Culture Day 2026 gala is expected to become a major cultural and artistic highlight of the capital, helping bring the nation’s cultural values closer to the public.
