Doi Co Temple is a cultural landmark closely associated with the local community’s spiritual life. According to folk legend, the temple was built to worship two women from Dinh Bang in Bac Ninh who contributed to transporting goods and supplying troops fighting foreign invaders.

Over time, the site has become a place where local residents and pilgrims from across the country come to offer incense, pay their respects, and pray for peace and happiness.

In 2005, the Doi Co Temple–Cam Lo Pagoda complex was recognised as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic site. In 2017, Doi Co Temple was officially recognised as a provincial-level tourist attraction. These milestones affirmed the site’s heritage value while highlighting the need to continue preserving, safeguarding, and promoting cultural heritage in connection with community life.
