On September 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the “Ban Sac Programme”, aiming to contribute to spreading Vietnamese cultural values on digital platforms, while encouraging the application of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in creating, exploring and promoting national culture.

Lawmakers called for turning the Politburo’s Resolution 80-NQ/TW into a binding resolution as they debated ways to revitalise the nation’s cultural foundations during group discussions in Ha Noi on April 20 over the National Assembly’s draft resolution on Vietnamese cultural development.

The National Tourism Year – Gia Lai 2026, themed “Gia Lai – Mountains embrace the sea”, is scheduled to open in Quy Nhon ward in March, with a lineup of 244 tourism, cultural, and sport activities running throughout the year.

The event aims to encourage patriotic emulation, inspire patriotism and solidarity, and promote reform, creativity, and labour productivity improvement to help realise socio-economic tasks and the Resolution of the coming 14th National Party Congress.

The National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival 2025 opened at Kim Ma Theatre, Ha Noi, on the evening of November 17. The festival is organised by the Performing Arts Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Viet Nam Stage Artists Association, the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports, and other relevant units.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the ministry is urgently completing the dossier and report to the Government on the selection of November 24 as “Viet Nam Culture Day,” expected to be submitted before November 5.

To implement the Plan on organising an exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), the Arts Council of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has selected 250 typical fine arts and photography works to introduce at the exhibition in Ha Noi.

A delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, led by Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, attended the Global Civilisation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting, which opened in Beijing, China on July 10.

With the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recently announcing the addition of three exemplary forms of culture to the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritages in 2025, Hung Yen Province has become one of the localities with a substantial number of recognised heritages nationwide.
