The opening of the 2026–2027 school year was particularly special as localities across the country simultaneously launched well-equipped and modern multi-level boarding schools for primary and lower-secondary education in border communes.
Protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security is a key and regular task of the entire Party, people, and army. In this regard, building strong border areas is a foundational and long-term solution.
As the new school year approaches, the education sector in Lai Chau has basically completed its preparations. From the border areas of Thu Lum and Hua Bum to Ban Chit School Site, which was affected by flash floods, schools have not only rearranged classes and staff but have also completed preparations for facilities, mobilised students to attend school and ensured conditions for teaching and learning.
The “Border Guards Accompany Digital Transformation in Border Areas” model not only demonstrates the responsibility, deep affection, and proactive and creative spirit of the border guards across the border regions but also marks a strategically significant step in building a comprehensive border defence system in the new situation.
In the face of the risk of supply losses and fire hazards stemming from the illegal collection and cross-border transportation of fuel, the Domestic Market Management and Development Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a directive requiring localities to strengthen inspections and strictly handle violations in fuel trading and transportation in border areas.

It has spread humanitarian and compassionate values across communities, consolidated the great national unity bloc, and reinforced a strong people-based border defence.
On December 13, the inauguration ceremony of the “Smart Library for Children” at Lam Thuy Kindergarten in Kim Ngan Commune, Quang Tri Province, was a practical and meaningful activity contributing to the care and support of education for children in border areas.
After many effective and comprehensive action programmes such as “March Border Month”, “Lighting up the Border”, etc., the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has continued to implement a long-term, synchronous solution with the participation of many forces towards the Fatherland’s border.
Investment in the border areas of the Southeast region has great significance in the socio-economic development strategy, associated with ensuring national defence and security of the region.
