Programme empowers women in remote border areas and strengthens people based national defence

The ‘Accompanying Women in Border Areas’ programme, launched in 2018 by the Viet Nam Women’s Union in partnership with the Border Guard High Command, has delivered practical support to women and children in remote border regions. It has spread humanitarian and compassionate values across communities, consolidated the great national unity bloc, and reinforced a strong people-based border defence.

After many effective and comprehensive action programmes such as “March Border Month”, “Lighting up the Border”, etc., the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has continued to implement a long-term, synchronous solution with the participation of many forces towards the Fatherland’s border.

Fifth Vietnam-Laos People Friendship Festival concludes

A ceremony was held in Laos’s Savannakhet province on September 29 to wrap up the fifth Vietnam-Laos People Friendship Festival and celebrate the Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity Year, the 60th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 45th of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation between the two countries.
