The Korean cultural experience booths will be open from 10am to 7pm, while Korean food stalls will operate from 10am to 9pm. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 6:30pm on October 24.

This year’s festival marks the 20th anniversary of the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam and is being held in conjunction with the Korea Season project of the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.

The event will feature two evenings of K-live band performances on the main stage, showcasing prominent Korean groups and artists, including QWER, Silica Gel, Touched, DjembeCola, The Shepherd Bois and Mijinee. Vietnamese singer-songwriter Hoang Dung and Mau Nuoc Band, one of Viet Nam’s leading live bands, will also perform.

According to Park Chan A, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam, the festival has grown significantly since its first edition in 2022, which featured just four booths. This year, the event will host 39 booths.

Visitors can explore the Republic of Korea’s night-time tourism attractions through a dedicated space organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation, featuring destinations such as Busan, Tongyeong, Yeosu and Jeonju.

Interactive activities hosted by Korean agencies and local representatives, including Chungcheongnam-do and Jeonbuk Province, will showcase the country’s distinctive culture, signature products and tourism destinations. Visitors will also have opportunities to make kimchi, prepare Korean seafood dishes and create their own dishes using tteokgalbi, a traditional Korean grilled beef dish.

Other attractions include a Vietnamese-Korean traditional games arena, K-pop random dance sessions, quiz shows, taekwondo demonstrations and traditional Korean tightrope walking performances.

Republic of Korea Ambassador to Viet Nam Lee Mi-yeon said cultural exchanges between the two countries had continued to expand since President Lee Jae Myung’s visit to Viet Nam in April. She expressed hope that the festival would attract widespread public interest and participation, while providing fresh impetus for bilateral cultural exchanges.
