The event introduces to the public four feature films and documentaries on Vietnamese soldiers and the army. The films honour the soldiers’ heroism and loyalty to the motherland, depicting their lives and aspirations during wartime.

The film week, jointly held by the Department of Cinematography and the local Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, aims to popularise the history and development of the Vietnam People's Army over the past eight decades.

A ceremony to kick-start the event was held in the northern province of Cao Bang on December 10.

The event in Cao Bang will feature an exchange between the audience, including students, with film crews, actors, actresses, and border soldiers, during which participants can learn more about the behind-the-scenes stories of the film production.
