The festival, jointly held by the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists (VASA) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee, featured more than 100 stage excerpts by over 1,000 stage artists, performers, and instrumentalists.

The excerpts were in various genres, including Tuong (classical drama), Cheo (traditional opera), Cai Luong (reformed opera), folk opera, drama, and circus.

At the closing ceremony, the organising board presented 54 gold and 60 silver medals to the best performers, best stage excerpts, best orchestras, and best instrumentalists.

Addressing the ceremony, scriptwriter – Dr Nguyen Dang Chuong, head of the jury, hailed that the excerpts introduced at the festival covered various aspects of life, reflecting the artists’ creativity and talents.

The festival provided a good opportunity to review the development of Vietnam’s stage arts while helping participating artists to exchange experience with each other.
