The golds went to five performances: ‘Hoa tinh nhan gian’ (Painting Love) by the Military Culture and Arts College, ‘The Harvest’ by a troupe from Laos, the 'Jagad Jiwa' contemporary dance by a troupe from Indonesia, 'Nang May' (Lady May) by the Vietnam Dance Academy, and ‘Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet’ (Carp Looking At the Moon) by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB).
Ten silver medals and sub-prizes were also awarded to outstanding art troupes, dancers, and choreographers at the closing ceremony.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ta Quang Dong hailed that the festival has truly become an art venue for artists and dancers from different countries to share experiences as well as introduce and honour unique values in the dance art of each participating country.
The event contributed to strengthening the solidarity of the those working in the arts community while promoting cooperation in culture and art between Vietnam and countries around the world, he added.

While commenting about the performances at the event, People's Artist Nguyen Cong Nhac, Chairman of the Jury Council, said that the eight international art troupes and nine Vietnamese troupes helped the audience experience the cultural colours from many different countries through music and the movements of the dancers on stage.
The participating choreographers and dancers conveyed the stories, messages, and cultural identities of their countries through creativity, combining various dance genres in their works and body language, he said.
The International Dance Festival 2024, which took place from August 18 to 21, attracted the participation of nearly 500 artists and performers from 17 troupes representing Laos, the Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
