The event was co-organised by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO), the Vietnam-India Friendship Association (VIFA) and the All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO).

The opening ceremony featured beautiful performances by artists from Vietnam and India.

Speaking at the event, VUFO Vice President Nguyen Ngoc Hung stressed that the festival has nurtured friendship ties between Vietnam and India and their people.

He noted with pleasure that since the two countries established diplomatic relations on January 7, 1972, Vietnam and India have seen their fruitful cooperation outcomes across various sectors, including economy, trade, investment, national defence-security, science-technology, culture and education.

For his part, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India and AIPSO Secretary-General Harchand Singh expressed his hope that the event would further deepen bilateral cultural, economic and political cooperation, paving the way for a future embodying peace, justice and prosperity for all.
