He made the statement at a conference in Hanoi yesterday to implement the Politburo's Instructions No.03-CT/T.Ư and the Secretariat's Plan No.03-KH/T.Ư on promoting the campaign for 'Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh's Moral Example'.
Addressing the conference, Politburo member Le Hong Anh said that President Ho Chi Minh's thought and morals are the essence of the nation, valuable spiritual assets of the Party and a shining example for the Vietnamese people to study and follow.
He also asked delegates to study and follow the Politburo's Instructions and the Secretariat's Plan to devise measures for effectively implementing the campaign.
The conference aimed to promote achievements and continue to raise public awareness of the President's moral example. The movement is also expected to create positive changes in political ideology, ethics and the people’s lifestyle, and contribute to successfully carrying out the 11th Party Congress Resolution.
Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, Dinh The Huynh said that studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example must be a regular task for Party members and society.
He stressed that the campaign must stick to the goals and requirements as stipulated in the Politburo's Instructions and the Secretariat's Plan. Priority should be given to educating the young generation and Party members, especially leaders of localities and agencies.
He also urged Party Committees at all levels to focus on inspections, supervision and communication to find exemplary role-models and fight against the evil.
