After hearing a report on the national and provincial socio-economic situation and the fifth NA session’s working schedule, voters in Nam Giang district, central province of Quang Nam asked NA and the Government to consider additional allowances for senior officials in the local education departments, create favourable conditions for ethnic minority students to study and get jobs after graduation, and invest further in facilities of health care and education, as well as build a road to Cho Chun commune.
A number of voters hoped that illegal gold and mineral exploitation which causes environmental pollution and security disorder in mountainous districts will be terminated.
Deputy PM Phuc recognised the ideas and asked local authorities to support and direct residents to develop family and the farm economy to reduce poverty rapidly while enhancing management and protection over forests and mineral resources, strictly punishing illegal gold and mineral exploiters and attracting more investment to boost economic development and preserve cultural tradition and identities of ethnic minorities.
During the meeting with voters in Lac district, central highland province of Dak Lak, Politburo member Phong asked the locality to promote its advantages, adjust the structure of plants, livestock and cattle and expand the cultivated area of rice and cacao to form goods producing areas, improve farmers’ income and living standard.
She also hoped that the district and Dak Lak province will implement Party building work more effectively, and enhance the human resource for a comprehensively strong locality.
On the same day, Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu met with Thanh Hoa provincial leaders and voters in Thuong Xuan, Tinh Gia and Dong Son districts.
He praised the Thanh Hoa NA deputy delegation for their improvements in working with voters and the enhanced oversight over works in the province, particularly that over building seven hydropower plants in Ma river.
He asked the province to work with relevant groups and corporations to ease difficulties and obstacles of projects in the locality.
