Forum discusses Vietnam-Japan potential tourism cooperation

A forum to explore potential tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Japan took place in Tokyo on June 21, attracting the participation of various experts, managers, and representatives of businesses in the tourism sector of the two countries.

It was organised by Fuji Travel which provides air ticket services from Japan to Vietnam and vice versa, with the sponsor of the Vietnam Business Association in Japan (VJBA) and the Vietnamese national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

Speaking at the event, Vu Nhat Ha, who is in charge of the investment unit under the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, described this as an opportunity for businesses, managers and partners in this sector to meet, exchange ideas and seek new cooperation opportunities.

VJBA President Tong Thi Kim Giao said that the tourism industry is not only a bridge connecting cultures, but also a strong driving force to promote sustainable development and international and people-to-people exchanges. Therefore, the Vietnamese business community in Japan in general and VJBA members operating in the tourism field in particular always strive to find new directions to bring higher values in bilateral cooperation she added.

In his speech, Okamoto Hironobu, Tourism Ambassador of Yachiyo City, Ibaraki Prefecture, made specific suggestions for businesses operating in the Vietnamese tourism sector to pay attention to to attract more Japanese tourists.

Fuji Travel Director Bui Thi Kim Phung expressed her belief that ideas and recommendations at the event will help connect Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises.
