Speaking at the opening of the forum, President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations Phan Xuan Dung stated that complicated changes in geopolitics and world economy have had a great influence on Vietnam’s economy as well as the production and business activities of enterprises.
In addition, the trend of green economy, digital economy and industrial revolution 4.0 has been developing strongly, Vietnam's commitments when joining the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the issue of carbon tax, etc., are requiring Vietnamese businesses to innovate to catch up with new trends.
In that context, technological innovation and digital transformation are the "survival" factors of businesses, helping them maintain and improve their competitiveness and protect natural resources and environment.
At the forum, the participants discussed a number of State policies for the activities of the businesses in association with innovation and the protection of natural resources and environment for sustainable development.
In addition, the delegates also received and gave solutions for the difficulties of the business community so that the implementation of the law on environmental protection will become a driving force for sustainable development in the future.
The forum was divided into three chapters themed “Practical values”, “Journey of conquest” and “Creating the future”, respectively.
The organising board has surveyed, approved the dossiers and awarded certificates and logos to the businesses that meet the criteria in the following categories: top pioneering enterprises in technological innovation and natural resources and environment protection; top environmentally friendly products; prestigious and international economic integration brand in 2023.
