>>> PM applauds 70-year tradition of Vietnam’s youth volunteer force
The event, co-hosted by the Vietnam Youth Volunteers’ Association, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union, was aimed at resounding the glorious tradition of the force over the past seven decades.
At the meeting, the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented 10 gratitude houses and 20 savings books to local former youth volunteers to pay tribute to their contributions in defending the Fatherland in the past wars.
On the afternoon of the same day, the delegates offered incense to commemorate the fallen youth volunteers who rest in peace at the Doi 82 Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tan Bien District. They also visited families of typical former youth volunteers and attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of several gratitude houses for local former youth volunteers.
On the same day, similar meetings were also held in the northern province of Thai Binh and the northern port city of Hai Phong to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of Vietnam’s youth volunteer force. Outstanding former youth volunteers were also honoured and presented with gifts at the events.
