The event was part of the 6th Global Vietnamese Young Intellectuals Forum, organised by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee (HCYUCC) and the Viet Nam Youth Federation, in coordination with the Global Network of Vietnamese Young Intellectuals and other relevant bodies. It took place at the University of Economics under Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi.
The forum aims to serve as a platform connecting outstanding young Vietnamese from around the world. It promotes a sense of responsibility and action, with a focus on practical, feasible, and highly impactful solutions that can resonate with all sectors of society, particularly the youth.
Nguyen Huu Tu, Vice President of the Viet Nam Young Physicians Association and Deputy Head of the Deputy Head of the Youth and Children Affairs Department under the HCYUCC stated that the seminar’s theme is both a rallying call to urge young people to join forces in creating solutions and sharing knowledge to help Viet Nam rise amid global transformations.
“We are living in a world of constant upheaval, from geopolitical instability and energy crises to increasingly severe climate change and the lingering consequences of the global pandemic. These challenges require not just timely responses but also long-term strategic thinking and sustainable adaptive capacity, especially from the younger generation of intellectuals”, said Nguyen Huu Tu.
During the seminar, delegates exchanged ideas and proposed various solutions and initiatives related to climate change adaptation, response to extreme natural disasters, enhancing the resilience of healthcare systems to new diseases, strengthening international cooperation, promoting knowledge transfer among global Vietnamese communities, and empowering youth in national adaptation strategies.
