Delivering the opening remarks, Professor Dr Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, stressed that the mission of young people has always been closely intertwined with the mission of the nation. The role of youths has consistently been placed at the heart of the revolutionary cause by the Communist Party of Viet Nam and President Ho Chi Minh.
The legacy of the young patriot Nguyen Tat Thanh — later known as Nguyen Ai Quoc — and the historical role of the Viet Nam Revolutionary Youth League over the past 100 years continue to resonate today. This legacy accompanies, guides, and transmits great momentum for the current generation of Vietnamese youths to firmly step forward in the era of innovation and integration.
According to organisers, the scientific seminar received a total of 78 papers. These contributions from experts, scholars, and policymakers further deepened the understanding of the historical significance of the founding of the Viet Nam Revolutionary Youth League and the mission of youth in the current context.

Chairing the seminar, Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, emphasised that over the past century, history has shown that young people are a powerful social force and one of the key factors in determining the nation’s future and destiny.
With the goal of reaffirming the position, role, historical significance, and immense contributions of the Viet Nam Revolutionary Youth League to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, the seminar’s papers highlighted that the League’s establishment was a historical inevitability — an outcome of the genius, far-sighted vision of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc after his journey to seek a path to national salvation.
The delegates reached a consensus on the need to continue fundamentally and comprehensively renewing the content and methods of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for the younger generation.
