Government Office urged to effectively fulfil assigned tasks

In his remarks, the Deputy PM stressed that the country’s overall achievements have been underpinned by the significant contributions of the Government Office, which serves as an advisory body to the Government and Prime Minister.

Setting out orientations for 2026, Deputy PM Binh underlined that the Government Office must effectively perform its task of formulating and implementing the work programme of the Government and the Prime Minister.

It should closely follow the working programmes of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the National Assembly, as well as the Government’s work programme and those of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers, in order to ensure the progress and quality of plans and proposals.

He also called for strengthened discipline and the thorough elimination of delays and backlogs in the issuance of documents and proposals.

The quality of advisory work must continue to be enhanced, while coordination between the Government Office and ministries, agencies and localities should be further strengthened to ensure smooth, effective and efficient operations.

The Deputy PM also called for greater efforts in administrative reform in tandem with digital transformation, moving towards a digital government.
