The Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Hai Phong Tourism Association and Geleximco Group, held the Hai Phong Destination Promotion Conference 2025 under the theme “Hai Phong – A Four-Season Tourism Destination” at the Dragon Hill International Tourism Area (Do Son Ward, Hai Phong) on the afternoon of November 22.
The event brought together nearly 1,000 delegates, including representatives from almost 100 international tour operators and more than 450 domestic travel enterprises.
The conference focused on five key objectives: strengthening promotion and enhancing Hai Phong’s tourism profile on the tourism map of Viet Nam and the world; boosting regional connectivity and developing inter-provincial tourism products and routes that link tourism with agriculture, industry, craft villages and trade; calling for investment in modern infrastructure, high-end services and competitive green tourism products; accelerating green and digital transformation towards a smart, environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism industry; and establishing long-term coordination mechanisms between businesses, associations and local authorities to ensure commitments made at the conference are implemented substantively and effectively.
According to Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee, the event provides a major opportunity to introduce and promote Hai Phong’s tourism image; it also serves as a platform for sharing experience, seeking partnerships and advancing innovative solutions for sustainable tourism development, particularly during the recovery and acceleration of the tourism economy following the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the coming period, Hai Phong will focus on developing distinctive tourism products such as island and marine tourism, high-end resorts, MICE tourism, golf tourism and gastronomy, alongside cultural, spiritual and craft-village tourism.
The city will also enhance digital-platform promotion, expand international cooperation and organise famtrip and presstrip programmes to further spread Hai Phong’s image.
On this occasion, the tourism associations of Hai Phong, Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Da Nang and Can Tho signed a memorandum of cooperation in the tourism sector, opening up new avenues for regional linkages and strengthening the appeal of destinations in the time ahead.
