With strong determination, both teams began the match confidently and played attacking football, searching for goals.

Although Song Lam Nghe An enjoyed a greater share of possession and created more scoring opportunities than Hanoi T&T in the first half, they were unable to convert their efforts into goals.

During the second half, the two teams continued to attack, but were unable to break the deadlock.

Regular time ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the penalty shootout, Nghe An striker Phu Nguyen couldn’t beat T&T goalkeeper Quang Tuan, and the Hanoian side converted all its penalties, earning a 5-4 result.

This is the second time Hanoi T&T have been crowned champions of the National U19 Football Tournament. They first claimed the title in 2011, defeating Song Lam Nghe An 7-6 in a penalty shootout.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Viettel shared second runner-up position at this year’s tournament.

Ho Tuan Tai from Song Lam Nghe An and Ho Minh Toan from Hoang Anh Gia Lai were named top scorers, while Quang Tuan and Nguyen Quang Hai of Hanoi T&T were voted the best goalkeeper and best player respectively.
