In pictures: The first working session of the VFF's 10th National Congress

The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2024 - 2029 tenure commenced its first working session at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on October 16.

In this initial session, the Congress elected the Presidium of the Congress, consisting of 55 members, and the Secretariat, consisting of 5 members. The Congress also discussed and approved the agenda and working regulations, and reviewed the status of delegates attending the Congress.

Under the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the Congress will review the VFF's activities for the 2019-2024 term, discuss and approve the goals and action plans for the 2024-2029 term, adopts the Charter of the 10th Vietnam Fatherland Front, and elects the 10th Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
