Global gold prices reversed course and fell to 4,165 USD per ounce on October 17 amid persistently high US inflation. In the domestic market, SJC gold bar and ring prices both dropped by 300,000 VND per tael, quoted at 143.6 million VND and 143.1 million VND per tael, respectively.
