Domestic gold bar prices were fairly stable on January 3, trading at a high level. Specifically, SJC gold bars were quoted at 150.8–152.8 million VND per tael, unchanged on both the buying and selling sides compared with the previous afternoon. Meanwhile, SJC gold rings were traded at 145.9–148.9 million VND per tael (buying–selling), down 2 million VND per tael on both sides from the previous afternoon.

Global gold prices on December 17 rose again, trading at 4,320.1 USD per ounce after investors took profits in the previous session. In Viet Nam, SJC gold bar prices were unchanged on both the buying and selling sides.

On the late afternoon of November 27, the domestic gold market remained subdued following two consecutive sessions of sharp gains. SJC gold bars continued to hold above the 153 million VND per tael peak, while plain gold rings and jewellery recorded a flat trend in trading.

Domestically, SJC-branded gold bar prices rose by 500,000 VND, trading at 153.4 million VND per tael, while SJC-branded gold rings increased by 1 million VND to 151.5 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on November 19 recovered after three consecutive declining sessions, rising to 4,088.9 USD per ounce. SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings also simultaneously increased again after nearly a week of falling and moving sideways, trading at 151.0 million VND per tael and 149.0 million VND per tael respectively.

SJC gold bar prices continued to fall sharply on the late afternoon of October 28. SJC listed gold bars at 143.1–145.1 million VND per tael, down 3.8 million VND on the buying side and 3.3 million VND on the selling side compared to the end of October 27.

In the domestic market, SJC gold bar and ring prices reversed downward on October 2, trading at 138 million VND per tael and 134.2 million VND per tael, respectively.

On the afternoon of September 18, SJC listed gold bar prices at around 130 million VND per tael for buying and 132 million VND per tael for selling, down 300,000 VND per tael on both sides.With the same drop of 300,000 VND per tael in both buying and selling prices, SJC gold rings were traded at around 126.3 million VND per tael for buying and 129 million VND per tael for selling.

On the afternoon of July 30, prices of gold bars and rings surged in both buying and selling directions. SJC gold bars were listed at 119.5 million VND per tael for buying and 121.5 million VND per tael for selling, an increase of 500,000 VND compared to yesterday’s transaction. Meanwhile, SJC gold ring prices also rose by 300,000 VND per tael in both directions.

Global gold prices continued their strong upward trend on July 2, trading at 3,341 USD/ounce. Domestically, prices of gold brands rose slightly following a sharp increase the previous day. SJC gold bars were traded at 120.7 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings increased to 116.5 million VND per tael.

On June 17, global gold prices declined as investors increased profit-taking following a recent strong rally, with gold trading at 3,378.529 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars dropped below the 120 million VND per tael threshold, trading at 119.6 million VND per tael; meanwhile, plain gold rings fell to 113.7 million VND per tael.
