Global gold prices on the afternoon of May 26 reversed course and dropped sharply to 4,521.5 USD per ounce, as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East heated up again. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings both fell by 500,000 VND per tael, and were listed at 161.5 million VND per tael and 161 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on April 11 continued to decline slightly amid pressure from a sharp rise in energy prices and geopolitical uncertainty, trading at around 4,748 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bar and ring prices both fell by 300,000 VND per tael, quoted at 172.4 million VND per tael and 172.1 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on January 16 slipped below 4,608 USD per ounce as strong inflows into equities cooled demand for gold. In Viet Nam, prices were temporarily steady as SJC bullion was traded at 162.8 million VND per tael, while SJC ring gold remained unchanged at 159.7 million VND per tael.

Domestic gold bar prices were fairly stable on January 3, trading at a high level. Specifically, SJC gold bars were quoted at 150.8–152.8 million VND per tael, unchanged on both the buying and selling sides compared with the previous afternoon. Meanwhile, SJC gold rings were traded at 145.9–148.9 million VND per tael (buying–selling), down 2 million VND per tael on both sides from the previous afternoon.
