Infographic: Gold rings hit record high on October 21
Global gold prices on October 21 remained at elevated levels, trading at 4,297.6 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings surged sharply, quoted at 153.9 million VND per tael and 153.3 million VND per tael, respectively.
Constant selling pressure caused strong fluctuations in the Vietnamese stock market during the morning session. Towards the end of the session, positive capital inflows into the oil and gas sector helped the VN-Index maintain its positive performance at closing. At the close, the VN-Index increased by 3.54 points (+0.21%), reaching 1,713.83 points.
