The events, held in response to Vietnam Law Day (November 9), took place at the Tan Thanh, Huu Nghi and Chi Ma border gates in the districts of Van Lang, Cao Loc and Loc Binh, respectively.
The events attracted the participation of more than 1,500 officers and local people.
During these events, the border guards updated participants on such topics as strengthening the enforcement and observance of the law on border protection; the management of border areas, border gates and border crossings; and improving the training of functional forces working in border areas and border gates.

The participants were also informed on the functions and tasks of border guards and customs forces; regulations on management of border crossing, entry and exit at border areas; and responsibilities of organisations and individuals related to the import and export of goods via border gates.
On the occasion, the organisers distributed leaflets to locals featuring the basic contents of the Vietnam Border Defence Law; the procedures, inspection, control and supervision at border gates; and the necessary documents for vehicles to enter or exit via a border gate.
The events aimed to raising the awareness of law-observance among public servants, soldiers, workers, and people living and working in border areas in Lang Son Province.
