Speaking at the session, the Party leader spoke highly of Lang Son’s efforts and achievements in recent years, asking the province to be aware that boosting cross-border economic activities is for the sake of economic development of not only itself but also the entirety of Vietnam.

The province should harmoniously combine economic growth with cultural and social development, putting people at the centre, to properly handle social issues and unceasingly improve people’s material and spiritual lives, he noted.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also requested the province to enhance its connectivity with others in the northern midland and mountainous region, the Red River Delta, and the Hanoi Capital Region, to create momentum for development while developing comprehensive infrastructure and modernity-oriented service, agricultural and industrial sectors, to achieve fast and sustainable development.
