The article recalled that during the struggle with neo-colonialism, especially in the 1959-1960 period, the leaders of the two countries worked together to set out strategic guidelines and revolutionary methods to defeat the foreign invaders.
The article argues that the relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam were not established by chance but are the results of a long journey of fighting against colonialism, which cost the lives of the armies and peoples of the two countries.
It emphasised that the relationship of friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries has been tied so closely and sustainably that there is hardly any other comparable relationship in the world.
The article concluded with verses by President Ho Chi Minh: “Vietnam and Laos, our two countries have a friendship deeper than the Hong Ha and Cuu Long rivers”, and Lao President Souphanouvong’s sayings: “The friendship between of Laos and Vietnam is truly great. No song, no poem can praise it all. The bilateral good friendship is cultivated by a pure spirit that no enemy can break.”
