Legal session discusses important issues to be submitted to the NA

The National Assembly Standing Committee opened the April legal symposium in Hanoi on April 12, giving opinions on many important issues to be submitted to the 15th National Assembly at its 5th session.

Speaking at the session, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that within 2.5 working days, the NASC will give opinions on three bills in the 2023 Ordinance Development Programme to submit to the National Assembly.

Regarding the draft of the Law on Real Estate Business (amended), the NA leader stated that the real estate market is one of the basic markets in the socialist-oriented market economy.

The real estate business is also one of the factors that ensure the growth of the economy and is related to many different industries. This Law Project has been implemented in practice for eight years, up to now, there are still some problems and inadequacies. Therefore, this time the Government proposed to amend the Law on Real Estate Business.

The top legislator suggested agencies and the NASC to focus on commenting on the scope of regulation; carefully study the issue of the uniformity of the legal system because this bill involves many other laws.

The NA leader also proposed to focus on giving opinions on the necessity, scope of amendment and contents related to the amendment of the Telecommunications Law.

He also underscored the need to ensure consistency with other laws such as the Law on Enterprises, the Law on Investment as well as in accordance with Vietnam's commitments in new-generation free trade agreements such as CPTPP, EVFTA...

Regarding the Law on Citizen Identification (amended), at its 21st regular meeting in March, the NASC agreed to add this bill to the Law and Ordinance Building Programme in 2023 to submit to the NA for consideration at its fifth session and expected to be passed at the sixth session.
