Minister Le Hoai Trung stressed that the 14th National Party Congress is an especially important political event with strategic significance for the country’s development orientation in the new era, attracting special attention from the international community, political parties, partners and friends of Viet Nam. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has identified the preparation for and service of the Congress as its foremost key political task.
Minister Le Hoai Trung directed that relevant units must view service for the 14th National Party Congress not only as contributing to the overall success of this major event, but also as a means to convey fully and promptly messages about Viet Nam’s guidelines, vision and determination for development in the period ahead.
To effectively carry out service for the 14th National Party Congress, Minister Le Hoai Trung requested that domestic units and Viet Nam’s representative missions overseas regard this as a central political task; closely coordinate with relevant agencies within the Subcommittee for Organising and Serving the 14th National Party Congress to complete assigned tasks, ensuring progress and quality. This includes continued thorough preparations for welcoming international guests and providing information on the 14th National Party Congress to political parties, countries, international organisations and foreign media.
Minister Le Hoai Trung assigned units to remain proactive and active in external information and communications work; strengthen coordination with the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and key press agencies, including those with permanent bureaus abroad, as well as international media; and at the same time conduct a thorough review of protocol and logistical work to ensure uniformity, solemnity, safety and compliance with regulations.
The Minister requested that units implement regular reporting regimes and promptly propose solutions to address any difficulties or obstacles arising during implementation.
In recent times, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has proactively developed and implemented a master plan and assigned specific tasks to each unit at home and abroad to prepare for serving the 14th National Party Congress. The focus has been on developing external information content and materials introducing the Congress to the international community and overseas Vietnamese; formulating plans to support foreign journalists in attending and reporting on the Congress; and ensuring protocol and logistical arrangements in service of the Congress.
