This activity aimed to respond to the International Day for Biological Diversity (May 22).
This is the third time that the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has coordinated with other units to organise the regeneration of aquatic resources, with a total of 178,000 fish fry released to date.
Over the years, the restocking of fish, shrimp, crabs and other aquatic species on the river and Tam Giang Lagoon in Thua Thien Hue has attracted the participation of organisations and individuals in the province.
In the coming time, Thua Thien Hue will continue to release 460,000 fry of fish, 990,000 fry of shrimp, and 17,600 fry of crabs in 22 Aquatic Resource Protection Areas and release 800,000 adult black tiger shrimp into the sea.
