The event, open to the press, will bring together more than 100 journalists and reporters from press agencies nationwide.
The Phap Luat Viet Nam (Vietnam Law) Newspaper, Tram Tau District People's Committee, and Hung Viet Trade and Tourism Company co-organised the event.
Speaking at the press conference, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper Vu Hoai Nam said that the competition aims to raise the importance of sports in enhancing physical health while contributing to developing adventure tourism in the locality.
At the competition, contestants will encounter a 12-km trek to conquer the peak of Ta Xua Mountain, which sits 2,865m above sea level.
Also scheduled for the occasion is a cultural festival of ethnic groups in a show introducing traditional costumes, and a fair displaying farm and handicraft products in Tram Tau District.
