Music programme celebrates Vietnam – Japan diplomatic ties

A music programme was held at the Hue University Medicine and Pharmacy on March 8, as part of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic ties (1973-2023).

The programme was attended by Teramoto Eri, a representative from the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang City, leaders of the Friendship Unions in Thua Thien Hue Province, the Hue City People’s Committee and the Hue University Medicine and Pharmacy.

Speaking at the programme, the Chairwoman of Thua Thien Hue Province’s Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association Do Thi My Chau said, over the past years, the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan has gained strong and comprehensive development in all fields.

Thanks to activities celebrating their 50th anniversary, the cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Japan will be developed into a deep strategic partnership, contributing to maintaining the peace, stability and development of the region and the world, Chau added.

The music programme featured various unique performances, with the participation of Japanese bamboo flute artist Tachibana Saburo and members from the Vietnam Haiku Club in Hue City. The performances honoured the traditional cultural beauty of the two countries.

Teramoto Eri expressed her hope that through the music programme, audiences would have the chance to learn more about the long-standing cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Japan.
