In his concluding remarks, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed that 2026 will be a year of special significance with many major events of the country. He stressed that the National Assembly Party Organisation needs to continue renewing leadership methods, enhancing the quality of strategic advisory work, and leading the successful organisation of elections for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. At the same time, it must ensure thorough preparation for the first sessions of the new term, contributing to the building of an increasingly professional and modern National Assembly that meets the country’s development requirements in the new period.

He emphasised the need to focus on three fundamental tasks of legislation, supreme supervision, and deciding on major national issues; implementing the scheme on orientations for lawmaking and the scheme to improve the quality of supervisory work, and making a strong shift from pre-inspection to post-inspection; and focusing on supreme supervision, regular supervision and supervision within the Party to prevent violations.

According to the report, in 2025, despite of being newly established and operating under a new model, and amid the implementation of reorganisation and streamlining of the political system’s organisational apparatus, building a two-tier local governance model, and creating breakthroughs in socio-economic development while carrying out key strategic resolutions of the Politburo, the Executive Board and the Standing Board of the National Assembly Party Organisation have upheld the solidarity and a strong sense of responsibility, and proactively led and directed the comprehensive fulfilment of assigned tasks, ensuring the quality and progress.

The National Assembly Party Organisation has led and directed the effective implementation of political tasks, with decisions of historical significance in the areas of constitutional work, lawmaking, supreme supervision, and decisions on major national issues. The successful organisation of Party congresses at all levels and the First Congress of the National Assembly Party Organisation for the 2025–2030 term affirmed the maturity and comprehensive leadership role of the National Assembly Party Organisation. During 2025, the National Assembly passed 89 laws and 24 normative resolutions, while the Standing Committee of the National Assembly adopted four ordinances and 32 resolutions, clearly demonstrating renewed thinking in lawmaking, meeting the country’s development requirements in the new period.
