On behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), delivering the opening speech, Member of the Executive Committee Tran Anh Minh affirmed that, entering its third year, the National Women's Futsal Championship has gradually affirmed its role in the system of non-professional national tournaments organised by the VFF.
Although it has just been organised, the tournament has shown the importance of this playground, from which coaches can search for outstanding faces, and call up to the national women's futsal team. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for players to compete, accumulate experience, improve their expertise, and contribute to the overall development of Vietnamese futsal, Minh added.
The 2024 National Women’s Futsal Championship will be broadcast live, with all matches on the VFF Channel YouTube channel. This will help bring the tournament’s image closer to fans and audiences nationwide, thereby encouraging the competitive spirit of the participating teams.
This year’s tournament will run until September 6, with the participation of 4 teams: host Phong Phu Ha Nam, Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The teams will compete in a 2-round round-robin format, with points calculated from First to Fourth.
