The participants will compete for 39 sets of medals, 22 in performance events and 17 for combat.
The Hanoi team claimed the top position at last year’s tournament, while Ho Chi Minh City finished second, followed by Quang Ninh in third.
The five-day event offers local athletes an opportunity to sharpen their skills and gain more experience and also aims to select the best athletes for the national team in preparation for future international competitions.
The tournament is co-organised by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Vinh Phuc provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
