The opening ceremony was held on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and National reunification in the presence of Politburo member Le Hong Anh, a permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat.
The new bridge measures 325m in length and 18m in width, and was built at a cost of VND276 billion (US$13 million).
The bridge is expected to facilitate transportation and boost socio-economic development in the city.
