According to a report published by the Nordic news platform ScandAsia, Lars Sandahl Sørensen, CEO of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), welcomed the newly established Viet Nam–Denmark Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
He noted that Denmark had elevated its relations with Viet Nam to the highest level in its international partnership framework. The strengthened relationship is expected to help Danish companies expand their operations in Viet Nam while opening further opportunities for cooperation in energy, food, healthcare, green transition, and advanced manufacturing.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) quoted Bert De Belder, Head of International Relations Department of the Workers’ Party of Belgium (PTB), as saying that the Vietnamese people's struggle for national liberation played a particularly significant role in the history of the PTB.
The party's founders were young students who drew inspiration from the Vietnamese people's heroic resistance struggle.
The revolutionary cause of President Ho Chi Minh was also an important source of inspiration during the PTB's early years. As a result, the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the PTB have maintained strong historical ties and a relationship that has been serving as a source of mutual inspiration for many years.
Regarding Viet Nam–Belgium relations, De Belder emphasised that the Belgian people had demonstrated solidarity with the Vietnamese people during the difficult decades of their struggle for national liberation, as well as in the subsequent decades of national construction and development.
He noted that solidarity projects and campaigns had consistently brought together Belgian citizens, committees, organisations, trade unions, and the PTB with the Vietnamese people and their organisations.
