Nhan Dan Newspaper attends 43rd Avante Festival

A Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper delegation, headed by member of the Editorial Board Pham Song Ha, participated in an array of activities at the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP)’s 43rd Avante Festival from September 6 to 8.

This year is the fifth year that Nhan Dan Newspaper has organised a display booth for Vietnam at the Avante Festival.

At the meeting with the Nhan Dan Newspaper delegation, the PCP's leaders highly appreciated the active participation of the Nhan Dan Newspaper delegation in the traditional activities at the festival, emphasizing that the presence of the Vietnam booth is a concrete manifestation of the good traditional friendship and solidarity between the two Parties and between the peoples of the two countries.

On behalf of the Vietnamese delegation, Pham Song Ha expressed his delight at the PCP's increasing role and position in the socio-political life in Portugal.

He also said that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam continues to make important socio-economic development milestones, with great achievements in the implementation of foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development. Party building work and the construction of the political system have been focused, achieving many important results.

During the three-day festival, the Vietnamese booth attracted many visitors. Many Portuguese and international friends expressed their affection and admiration for President Ho Chi Minh, recalling many memories of attachment to Vietnam.

Within the framework of the festival, Nhan Dan Newspaper delegates attended meetings and talks with leaders of the Avante newspaper, as well as international delegations.
