Nhan Dan Newspaper launches special page on late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

The event saw the presence of Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Luong Cuong; members of the Party Central Committee (PCC); Lai Xuan Mon, Standing Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education; Vo Van Dung, Standing Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs; Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Standing Deputy Chief of the PCC Office; Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education, and President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association; Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications; Le Thi Thuy, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee; and Nguyen Huu Nghia, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee.

At the ceremony, delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate late Party Chief Nguyen Phu Trong.

Addressing the launch ceremony, Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, said that the newspaper has launched special pages on President Ho Chi Minh and Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh in recent times in a bid to implement the digital transformation strategy and improve the quality of communication about Party building on the Internet.

He noted that with a sense of political responsibility and special affection for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, an exceptionally outstanding leader, a teacher and a senior predecessor of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists, Nhan Dan Newspaper has urgently worked during the past month to launch the special page on the Party chief entitled ‘General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong – A dedicated and visionary leader of the Party’ at http://nguyenphutrong.nhandan.vn.

The information page includes five sections: News; Firmly following the chosen path; Messages for the country and people; Opinions of leaders and experts; and Affection for the General Secretary.

“The special page on General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong includes nearly 1,000 articles, photos, videos, and multimedia press products with modern press technologies on digital platforms, contributing to affirming and spreading the value of the Party chief’s theoretical achievements and great contributions in building a scientific and practical foundation for the process of building guidelines and policies for national construction and development in the renewal period. It is an important database serving the research and reference work of cadres, party members and the people”, affirmed Le Quoc Minh.

Politburo member Luong Cuong highly appreciated the launch of the special information page by Nhan Dan Newspaper, noting that this is a timely and practical work that helps cadres, party members and international friends have a better understanding about the life, career and great contributions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

On the occasion Nhan Dan Newspaper opened a photo exhibition on late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, featuring 44 photos on his life and career. It will run until August 22 at Nhan Dan Headquarters No.71 Hang Trong Street, Hanoi.
