Over 120 players compete in national billiards and snooker championship

Nhan Dan – The final round of the 2013 National Billiards & Snooker Championshipsare taking place in the southern province of Binh Duong, with participation of 122 players from 14 cities and province across the country.

The players completed the first round of the tournament in the central city of Hue last March, at which they competed againstoutstanding players from last year’s 2012 National Billiards & Snooker Championships.

They are now competingin eight events, including the men’s one and three cushion carom,eight, nine and ten ball pool,snookerand  English billiards categories, as well asnine ball pool for women.

The host Binh Duongteam, considered a strong candidate for medals, is participatingin all the events except for snooker.

The annual championships, which began on June 1, provide a good chance to select outstanding players for the national team in preparation for the upcoming 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar later this year.
