Petro prices remain stable in latest review

The prices of oil and petrol will remain unchanged after the latest regular review by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, on March 23.

The ceiling prices of E5 should be no higher than VND 18,340 per litre, and those of diesel 0.05S and kerosene should not be higher than VND 15,716 per litre and VND 14,560 per litre, respectively.

Meanwhile, the two ministries also decided to maintain the price stabilisation fund for E5 bio-fuel at VND 669 per litre, while the use of the fund for diesel is at VND 177 per litre.

The average global price of petrol products during the last 15 days leading up to March 23 was at US$ 73.253 per barrel for RON 92 and US$ 77.066 for diesel.

The cost of ethanol E100, which is used to produce E5 petrol, has gone up by almost VND 1,200 per litre compared to one year ago.

The ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance review the fuel prices every 15 days in order to adjust the prices in accordance with fluctuations on the world market.
