Petrol prices see sharp drop in latest adjustment

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the latest fuel price adjustment, effective from 15:00 on December 25, with most oil and petrol products seeing decreases.

Accordingly, E5RON92 petrol is capped at 18,716 VND (0.71 USD) per litre, down 523 VND, and RON95-III at 19,006 VND per litre, 614 VND lower.

The prices of diesel 0.05S is sold at 17, 257 VND per litre, down 219 VND; and kerosene at 17,709 VND, down 228 VND. The price of mazut 180CST 3.5S rises to 13,382 VND per kilogramme, up 222 VND.

Since the start of 2025, Viet Nam has seen 52 fuel price adjustments. The ministries will continue monitoring supply, enforcing compliance, and ensuring market stability.

The two ministries decided not to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund for any of the fuel categories.
