Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line’s first test run

The train used in the trial run was numbered HN003 04, starting from Cat Linh station to Yen Nghia station, which are the two ends of the route. This is a milestone that marks new hope for the metro line to be officially put into commercial operation.

Up to now, the construction unit has completed more than 97% of the workload and is continuing to complete stations across the Cat Linh - Ha Dong railway.

Since August 1, the railway has been connected to the national power grid for its trial operation this month.

The rail system and equipment has been installed completely on the whole.

The train runs through Hoang Cau Lake in Dong Da District, Hanoi.

The new route crosses the To Lich River.

The test run reached Nguyen Trai Street in Thanh Xuan District in less than 10 minutes.

The test run generated a lot of attention among locals interested to see the long awaited new transport system in action.

According to Minister of Transport, Nguyen Van The, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line will implement a test run in August, 2018. The test runs are from 3-6 months, depending on the results, the authorities will decide when to put it into operation.
