The Government leader was received at the airport by Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Pham Hai Bang and officials of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese mission in Geneva.
Shortly after his arrival, PM Phuc left Zurich for Davos to commence the first activities within the framework of his trip to Switzerland for the WEF Annual Meeting 2019.
As scheduled, the Vietnamese PM will join other leaders to attend the opening session themed “Meeting of leaders on ocean action agenda” on January 23. In addition, he is going to hold meetings with a number of leaders of countries attending the WEF Davos 2019.
In particular, PM Phuc and WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab will co-chair a dialogue with leaders of global groups on the Vietnamese economy under the theme “Promoting dynamism and innovation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.
On the same day, the Vietnamese leader will meet with leaders of various multinational corporations who are in Switzerland for the WEF Davos 2019 activities.
PM Phuc’s participation in the WEF Davos Annual Meeting is the first multilateral diplomatic activity of the Vietnamese Party and State leaders in 2019, holding great significance in terms of politics, foreign affairs and socio-economics.
